Often times it seems we are working for the weekend. My goal this year is to have more weekday adventures! We are getting close to a full moon. I decided today a moonlight picnic would be nice. Persuading Sherri was not too difficult. We hiked a few miles then ended with a leisurely stroll around Lake Powhatan and right after sunset we spread our blanket and watched as the last sliver of a gorgeous spring day slips away. And then I fried up some amazing bourbon salmon, honey corn, with peppers, a small baguette toasted with butter. Mmmmm! Eating by candlelight as the stars came out. The moon was so bright we did not need lights to walk out with. Instead we took our time and enjoyed the beautiful silver-blue light that made the entire forest a work of art!.
